Baylor’s TWO-REX Party!

We had a DINO-MITE time at Baylor’s party this year!

Baylor is almost TWO!

April 24, 2022

If you were around last year, we did a “First Trip Around the Sun” Space Theme for his First Birthday.

Last year, April 2021

This year, we obviously had to go along with his newly acquired dino obsession! So we landed on “TWO-REX” which was so fitting!

Low Key Splash Pad

We kept the actual party pretty low key compared to last year because of all the events happening in our lives right now! If you have been following along with me, you know I am a bridesmaid in 3 weddings just in April and May!

So, we had a wedding Friday night, my birthday Saturday, and Baylor’s Party Sunday! Baylor’s actual birthday is Thursday the 28th but we are leaving this weekend for the second wedding of the season in Sedona!

So, I decided we would have it at one of our favorite local parks in Gilbert that has a splash pad. You can rent a ramada super easily that overlooks the splash pad and park and includes two tables.

The Details

Dinosaur Painting Station

I wanted to have a small activity besides the splash pad for kiddos to do. I opted for these super cute wooden dinosaurs to do some painting with! They are from the dollar tree! Oh my goodness they have SO many cute little animals and wooden items for a painting party. I highly recommend going there if you are wanting to do something like this too!

I put out paint and gave every kid a large piece of card stock to do their painting on. I also set out googly eyes for their dinos if they wanted to add some eyes. It turned out super cute!

It was super nice to be near the splash pad after the kids got paint on them so they could go wash off if needed.

We used decor mostly from Target and the 99 cent store that was all dinosaur themed. Can’t go wrong with Target!

The Food

Kid-charcuterie

We did some kid charcuterie type boards for snacking this time around! It was so simple and easy! I used items like crackers, meats, cheese cubes, fruit, goldfish, twizzler nibs, swedish fish and more to make a fun snack board!

We also did cupcakes for singing the happy birthday song of course!

It was a short and simple party but I know Baylor had SO much fun with the people who love him! He was mostly interested in the water anyways!

The Goodie Bags

Dino Goodies

I gave each of the kids a small goodie bag with a dinosaur puzzle, wind up dinosaur and a party blower! They were going to use this bag to collect candy from the piñata but I forgot it at home 😱 so we will be busting it open on his actual birthday!

We love you, B!
