Tips for Your Teething Toddler or Baby
Well well well… teething strikes again! We have been going through so many challenges lately, between sickness, adjusting to daycare, and yes, teething. UGH! It honestly breaks my heart seeing my little guy in so much pain. I want to share some tips and resources that have made our teething times a little but more manageable!
FROZEN WAFFLES
Yes, keep them frozen! Let your little one chow down on the cold waffle. Eventually their warm mouth will heat up the waffle enough to chew and swallow. This is a great tool for baby led weaning as well! I give one to B just like a teether. He loves them! Especially blueberry flavored waffles.
2. Goodpop FREEZER POPS
We are obsessed with these pops! They are organic and made just with fruit juice.
Popsicle Holders
We always put them in these popsicle holders from Lemon Lane Market on ETSY.
They keep my little guy’s hands from freezing!
3. ALL THE SMOOTHIES
Baylor loves to help me make smoothies! Anything cold is the way to go for those sore gums. We use berries, bananas, frozen chopped spinach, orange juice, and a little bit of vanilla plant protein!
4. CUDDLES
Lots of TLC, understanding and cuddles always make cutting teeth a tad bit easier. I know its hard to understand how they might be feeling at times, especially when they start waking you up in the middle of the night again when they are in pain, but we can’t remember how teething felt, and I imagine its not very fun!
5. DISTRACTIONS
Do something out of the ordinary to distract from your little babe’s discomfort. Try a new sensory bin, go to the park, pull out an up opened toy. Anything to help them cope and distract them will definitely help!
