Holy moly the people who decide to cut toddlers’ hair for a living need to be paid more. Our girl was a saint and got in there so quickly! I was expecting a less than perfect haircut but it looks so amazing despite the tantrum that happened during the entire thing. We went to a salon called Snip-its here in AZ and it is made just for kids. They make it fun with prizes and shows and even have Kidz Bop bumpin’ in the background - again, which we could barely hear due to the shrieking.
I would try to give you some tips but I honestly went as prepared as I could and it did not go as I expected. Snip-its did a great job at being accommodating and having all the fun things as distractions for the kids. They had lollipops (which he finally trusted me to taste after we were in the car), prizes, toys, a show playing, and a credit card for the kids to “pay” at the end!
Overall the salon was amazing and we will definitely be back. Baylor was upset to be expected. But the hairdresser said that the more we take him, the better it will get! So we will continue to go and get more used to it. They gave us a clipping of his hair 🥲 and I will probably keep it in his baby book.
