B’s 20 month update

Hello there! Coming at you in 2022 with Baylor’s 20 month update! This was the most requested first blog post of the year (to my surprise) so here we go!

I keep saying this, but I also mean it - that this stage has been my favorite of Baylor’s thus far. I said it and I am sure I’ll say it again!

He is BLOSSOMING and the absolute BEST THING IN OUR LIVES. I am continually baffled at the speed he is learning language and growing his awareness of his surroundings and how the world works. I feel so fulfilled each time he recognizes or repeats a word, uses American sign language to advocate for himself, or is able to reach for his favorite snack and let us know he is hungry.

He is bright, independent, and the sweetest boy just like his dad. He is emotional and wears his heart on his sleeve, just like his mom. He is the perfect mix of the both of us. We couldn’t be prouder of who he is.

Here are some recent photos of our big B! He is growing like a WEED and never stops eating. I would say that’s his most favorite activity at the moment.

I will share some of Baylor’s current faves and dislikes below the photos. Enjoy some of my favorite shots from December 2021 :)

Weight: About 30 lbs

Clothes: 2t/3t depending

Wakes up: 7:30, Nap: 12:30-2:30, Bedtime: 8:30-9:00

Fave Foods:

oranges, PB&J, waffles, raspberries, potatoes/fries, COOKIES

Favorite Activities: Anything with water or animals

Fave “Things” At the Moment:

“JJ” AKA Cocomelon, “Bars” AKA granola bars, Paw Patrol, Dinosaurs, riding his play motorcycle and bike, his new slide, and going to the park, “bubbles”, climbing virtually anything, JUMPING, his new pup Blu, music class

Dislikes:

Getting clothes changed or diaper changes, sitting in carts at the store - he wants to sprint everywhere, getting his face wiped, getting in his car seat, being dropped off at the gym daycare (still getting used to it)

I can’t believe my baby is going to be TWO in a few short months. Time is flying. I am so grateful to be staying at home with him again.

If you missed it, I quit my job at the daycare. It wasn’t for me and I was missing out on special time with my own baby. I have so much more of an appreciation for. being able to spend my days with him after having that taken away by working 9 hours shifts each day. We are so excited for what is to come! Several weddings coming up, moving and remodeling a home, and raising our new puppy!

Stay tuned for all of the fun things to come!

Make sure to let me know what you want to see from us this year over on Instagram! We love you, readers! 💜
