summer must-haves for your little one

Temperatures are rising and parents are preparing for having their babies and kids home all summer long. I wanted to share some of my absolute favorite things I have discovered recently to help during these long, hot, summer months, especially if you live somewhere scorching like AZ. Keep reading for my current faves for the littles! If a phrase is underlined, I have linked the product or blog post for your reference.

  1. Little Bum Coolers

Y’ALL. There is a reason I put this product first on the list. I you don’t know what a Little Bum Cooler is, get ready to add one (or several) to your cart. Local to AZ, but sold online, Little Bum Coolers sit in your baby or toddler’s carseat while you are out running errands, on a play date, or any time you are out of your car. Living in Arizona, I know about belt buckle burns and the unbearable cloud of heat building and waiting for me inside my car even just running into the grocery store. This item solves those problems and are too cute to not want every pattern.

It is as easy as putting 5 blue block ice packs (you can find them at Walmart or Amazon) in the case and freezing until solid. Grab the cooler any time you leave the house and place it in the carseat so your little one’s seat is nice and chilled when you return to the car. Your child can even ride with it on their lap to cool down if they want once they get in their seat. SO genius. It is one of those things I wish I thought of myself! When I am done running errands I make sure to bring it inside and put it back in the freezer until next time. I have been thinking about ordering a second print because I love ours so much!

2. Munchkin Straw Cups

I talked about these cups in my Baby-Led Weaning blog post, but I love them so much I wanted to mention them again. Baylor started using these successfully around 8 months.

I don’t leave the house without bringing one of these cups full of water for Baylor. We bring them in the car, on walks, to the park, anywhere! They are so easy for him to drink out of and he has even had smoothies in them before. I think we have 4 of them now! I love how they come apart and come with a tiny brush for cleaning. Must - have for those hot months ad to get your little one to stay hydrated. I found mine at Target but I also linked them here on Amazon.

3. Sensory Water Table

Archway Falls Water Table

Baylor got this awesome water table for his birthday and he is obsessed with it! You can use it with water or sand. It comes with a few water toys and includes fun accessories like a bucket and scoop. This particular one is from Costco, but any water table with do. They make so many different ones. It is a fun option if you do not have a pool or just want something for your child to do outside without getting fully submerged in water. It also makes an awesome gift!

4. Toddler Knock Off “Crocs”

Crocs are all the rage right now and these are a much cheaper option for little, ever growing feet. Baylor loves these and walks pretty well in them. They are also great for parks with sand or wood chips because they clean up so easily.

5. Bucket Hat
