Hey mama! Are you looking for a delicious smoothie that is healthy, delicious enough for your toddler to drink, and has greens in it?
Well, do I have a hack for you!
Baylor is getting to the age where he might start to notice if I give him something green to eat. I saw a genius hack on Stefany Bare’s instagram a while back.
She used frozen, chopped spinach in her smoothies! Um, why didn’t I think of that?
Raise your hand if you throw a bag of spinach into the garbage on a weekly basis…. 🤚
I know I am always feeling guilty for buying greens for smoothies and undoubtedly tossing them out before I can use even half of the bag. Using frozen spinach solves this problem! You can even toss your bag of fresh spinach into the freezer and use it that way!
Healthy Berry Smoothie Recipe
Now, I do not measure when making our smoothies, but I am going to give you a good estimate of what we use!
1 cup frozen berry medley
3/4 cup frozen chopped spinach
1 banana (or frozen bananas)
10 oz of orange juice (we use Trop 50 for less sugar)
1 scoop plant based vanilla protein (we use Orgain with superfoods!)
No ice needed :) just blend it up and it is ready to serve!
